Grade 409M stainless steel is a modified version of 409 with higher Manganese content. It is a utility ferritic stainless steel, often used in place of mild steel. It is a widely use grade in manufacturing railway components and coaches and it is often referred to as CK201 X02Cr12 in Indian Railway documents. Stainless Steel grade 409M is widely used in form Coils, Sheets, Plates and Welded Pipes. The material is available in No. 1 HR Finish, Chequered Finish and 2B CR Finish, additional finshing can be done as per the requirement of the customer.
