STAINLESS STEEL
AISI 2202 | EN 1.4062
Description
Duplex Stainless Steel 2202, is an austenitic-ferritic stainless steel. It offers users general resistance to corrosion that is comparable to stainless steel grade 304L. The duplex grade has improved mechanical strength compared to other grades. The alloy can withstand the temperature range of -50 °C to 300°C. The alloy showcases excellent stress corrosion resistance that is often double other austenitic stainless steels. The material can be used in combination with nitric acid. It is reasonable to expect specifications in these standards to be similar but not necessarily identical to those given in this data sheet.
Applications of 2202
- Construction (crash barriers and footbridges)
