STAINLESS STEEL
AISI 441 | EN 1.4509
Description
Raykam Stainless Steel grade 441 is nickel-free with about 18% of chromium ferritic steel which was originally designed for automobile exhaust systems. The steel has good formability and easy weldability, hence, it is often a suitable replacement for grade 301. Its primary properties are good corrosion resistance in an exposed environment and high-temperature strength. The material is widely available with a Single: Niobium or Dual: Niobium and Titanium stabilizers.
This Stainless Steel grade can be easily fabricated and formed using basic commercial forming processes like bending, folding, drawing, pressing, etc. It has a slightly higher proof strength when compared to the standard austenitic stainless steel grade 304 with lower work hardening as a great combination. The titanium stabilization improves the R-value, which is higher compared to the other non-stabilized ferritic grades in the series. These characteristics mean excellent deep-draw properties.
