Description

Stainless steel 317LN is a nitrogen alloyed austenitic stainless steel having high nitrogen content than other austenitic stainless steels. It has higher yield and tensile strength than 317L. This low carbon grade steel provides resistance to sensitization during welding and thermal processes. Low carbon content in its composition makes the alloy resistant to inter granular corrosion. It also offers excellent corrosion resistance to organic, sulfuric and phosphoric acids.

The material's high strength, corrosion resistance, and ability to withstand high temperatures and thermal cycling make it ideal for use in a wide range of industrial applications.It is reasonable to expect specifications in these standards to be similar but not necessarily identical to those given in this data sheet.
