ALUMINIUM ALLOYS
AA6063 | AlMg0.7Si
Description
Raykam Aluminum Alloy AA6063 is often referred to as an architectural alloy and finds use in the production of intricate extrusions. With an aesthetically pleasing finish and high corrosion resistance, the alloy is readily suited to welding and can be easily anodised. Commonly supplied in the T6 temper, the alloy offers good formability in the T4 delivery condition. 6063 commercial aluminium alloy offers medium strength and high corrosion resistance. With an aesthetically pleasing finish, the material is used in the fabrication of intricate extrusions used as finishing products. AA6061 or AA6082 should be considered if greater strength is required.
6063 Aluminum Alloy is heat treatable, weld-able, good at resisting corrosion and easily formed. It is a top choice for extrusion because of its properties, as it is easily pushed through a die into many fixed-cross sectional shapes. It allows complex shapes to be formed with very smooth surfaces fit for anodizing.
