STAINLESS STEEL
AISI 17-7PH | EN 1.4568
Description
Raykam 17-7PH stainless steel is a precipitation hardenable chromium-nickel-aluminum alloyed stainless steel. It is suitable for use in fresh water, industrial environments, and low-to-mild chemical and oxidizing environments. Stainless Steel 17-4 PH is not recommended to use in salt water or chemical reducing environments.
This grade has good formability, and is well suited for aviation and aerospace applications. The stainless quality of good corrosion resistance and precipitation hardened high-strength makes it a commendable option for aircraft engine components. The excellent fatigue properties of this grade results in a long term durable feature of the application. Hence, this grade is well suited for high-strength applications which require long term durability and corrosion resistance
Applications of 17-7PH
- Washers
- Springs
- High Strength Components
- Superheater Tubes
- Intricate Parts due its Low Distortion on heat treatment
- Components used in High-Strength and High-Temperature conditions
- Chemical Processing
