STAINLESS STEEL
AISI 321 | EN 1.4541
Description
Stainless Steel 321, is a titanium stabilized austenitic stainless steel that is known for its general corrosion resistance. It easily offers excellent resistance oxidation upto 816°C. The alloy shows characteristics of Good low temperature toughness. The alloy has comparable corrosion resistance and machinability to stainless steel grade 304. The material can be readily welded by most standard processes. The alloy is excellently ductile and forms easily. It is reasonable to expect specifications in these standards to be similar but not necessarily identical to those given in this data sheet.
Applications of 321
- Aircraft exhaust manifolds
- Expansion joints
- Bellows
- Furnace parts
- Heating element tubing
- Heat Exchangers
- Woven or welded screens for high-temperature mineral processing
- Spiral Welded tube for burner pipes and flues
