Ti Grade 4: A Corrosion-Resistant Titanium Alloy
Description
Commercially pure titanium alloys an be altered via small quantities of oxygen and iron, that tend to influence the mechanical properties. Each commercial grade is suited for different applications.
Grade 4 displays the highest strength of all the unalloyed CP grades. It combines excellent corrosion resistance with good formability and weldability.
It is reasonable to expect specifications in these standards to be similar but not necessarily identical to those given in this data sheet.
Applications of Ti Grade 4
- Hydraulic and instrumentation tubing
- Chemical processing equipment
- Marine and airframe applications
